On September 17, 1992, Tammy Haas was picked up by her on again, off again boyfriend, Eric Stukel. They went to dinner at Pizza Hut and later attended Yankton High School's coronation. After meeting up with friends at a discrete location known at The Dead End Road, they learned of a party near Crofton, Nebraska. They purchased some beer at a gas station before crossing the bridge into Nebraska.
Around 10pm, Tammy and Eric arrived at the party where they were seen by several of Tammy's friends, some of which felt like they were not getting along. Around 11:00, the party was shut down and attendees were asked to leave. Eric and Tammy were seen walking away from the house around 11:15pm. For the rest of her friends, this was the last time she was seen.
Almost six days later, Tammy would be found dead in a ravine down the road from the party location. An autopsy would discover a strange neck injury is what caused her death. Evidence was discovered which put her in the trunk of her boyfriend's car. That's where investigators got stuck.
With a statute of limitations approaching, investigators charged Eric with manslaughter in 1995. Just after the fourth anniversary of her death, Eric was brought to trial but a weak case and a strange stipulation to the charge led to an acquittal. Despite the efforts of a six-agency task force, little new information has been developed and the case went cold.
In 2015, growing tired of the lack of progress, a blog and Facebook page was created by Tammy's friends, family and supporters. Following rapid growth and interest, funds were raised to hire a private investigation firm. The investigation led to a new theory...but it had its limitations. The findings of the investigation were never made public.
Our investigation picked up where the private investigators left off. Armed with nearly three times as much information, we tested theories...and came to our own shocking conclusion about what really happened to Tammy Haas.
Will our findings lead to new developments in the case? Will her family and friends find resolution to the three decades of yearning for the truth? Join us as we unravel the mystery of the death of Tammy Haas.
